Device Description
VACCJECT™ is a cartridge-based alternative to prefilled syringes with a fully passive needle retraction mechanism integrated into the device. The drug is contained in a standard cartridge and is kept separate from the device until the point of use. This unique feature greatly reduces costs associated with cold-chain shipping and storage – 10 cartridges use the same amount of storage space as 5 drug vials or 1 prefilled syringe with a safety injector. It also takes advantage of the numerous benefits of a cartridge, such as low cost, high-speed filling, baked-on silicone, Tungsten-free, dry needle.
